Training Coordinator - KwaZulu-Natal

Job Description:

MatCH (Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health) Institute NPC, a leading non-profit public benefit organization, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Training Coordinator to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to provide technical assistance, capacity building, and direct service delivery for HIV/AIDS and TB initiatives. The Training Coordinator will work under the Integrated Service Delivery Response to Epidemics Control project, focusing on enhancing the skills and knowledge of our workforce in KZN to combat these epidemics effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in collaboration with the Job and Knowledge Management (M&E) team to develop comprehensive training programs.
Coordinate the design, development, and delivery of training modules tailored to the needs of various stakeholders.
Ensure training programs align with project goals, focusing on performance improvement and knowledge transfer.
Manage the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, venue coordination, and material preparation.
Provide ongoing support to training participants, ensuring the effective implementation of learned skills.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs, making adjustments as necessary based on feedback and outcomes.
Maintain up-to-date records of all training activities, participant progress, and resource utilization.

Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Sciences, Education, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in training coordination, preferably within a healthcare environment or related to public health initiatives.
Skills:
Proven ability to complete the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate).
Strong knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual training platforms.
Certifications: Valid driver's license and own transport.
Professional Registration: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council is advantageous.
