Warehouse Internship at SMC Corporation South Africa

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interest in joining SMC's growing South African office head office based in Johannesburg.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy in tasks.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be willing to learn and take on responsibilities related to receiving, warehousing, and booking of weekly Sea and Air Freight orders.
Should be prepared to assist with stock counts, picking and packing, and other warehouse duties.
Must be available to work full-time for the duration of the internship (1 year).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in receiving, verifying, and booking weekly Sea and Air Freight orders.
Participate in stock counts, picking, packing, and dispatching according to company procedures.
Contribute to daily administrative functions including return/receiving processes.
Support warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
Excellent academic record.
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility in working hours and tasks.
Knowledge of ERP systems is advantageous.
